As part of our continued commitment to promoting high health & safety standards in Irish workplaces, Friday 26th July 2024 saw M.A. Healy's attend Safety Day 2024 at Armstrong Timber Engineering, one of our fellow local businesses in Arklow Co Wicklow. As a supporter of this event, M.A. Healy's provided safety packs for all staff compromising of common, practical items of PPE. Our PPE expert, Conor Byrne, gave several talks on the subject of PPE, to groups of staff, going through some common misconceptions about what PPE is and isn't and the importance of choosing the right level of PPE for the task in hand. Areas focused on included respiratory PPE, protective footwear, hand protection, and ear PPE, while delving into some workplace safety stats and how accidents can be reduced.
