Hand injuries account for a high proportion of workplace accidents. As such, selecting the right PPE/glove should be a top priority for all safety officers. When it comes to selecting the right safety glove, there’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and care and attention should be paid to the type of material being handled and the hazards involved. Impermeable for working in damp or greasy environments, the Showa 878 Butyl glove is suitable for those handling ketones, amines and esters (Butyl rubber has the highest permeation resistance to gases and water vapors of any glove material). These gloves are unlined so as to prevent the risk of lint contamination. Available from our safety shops in Passage West, Cork, and Arklow. We also deliver throughout Ireland.
Suitable for handling strong organic chemicals, the Ansell AlphaTec® 15-554 gloves are latex-free, Anti-Static, liquid- and chemical-resistant gloves remain virtually inert in aromatic and chlorinated solvents. The Ansell AlphaTec® 15-554 gloves are suitable for lab environments. The Ansell AlphaTec 15-554 PVC gloves feature a soft-two piece inner liner for wearer comfort.
The MaxiTherm Palm Glove has high thermal insulation properties that don't compromise on the glove's comfort, flexibility or dexterity. This glove is offers the wearer protection from contact heat up to 250°C for 15 seconds and is suitable for use in temperatures as low as -10°C. Excellent grip is provided by this glove's latex coating, whether the conditions are wet or dry.
The Polyco Touch-E TE0360 Electricians glove are non-slip and allow greater dexterity than regular insulation gloves. They give the wearer Class 1 Electric Arc protection, while the pre-curved shape is designed with wearer comfort in mind. Ideal PPE for mechanics working on EVs.

Finite® Black is a powder free nitrile disposable glove which is compliant to European Standard EN374 providing an effective barrier against oils, acids and other chemicals. It features a unique diamond grip pattern over the entire hand area which optimises surface performance and ensures an outstanding grip at all times. Made from a superior strength nitrile formulation, it provides exceptional resistance to tears and punctures yet is extremely soft and flexible providing unparalleled comfort and sensitivity. The Polyco GL201 Finite Orange Grip Gloves are disposable, powder free gloves with a diamond grip pattern over the entire glove. They are thicker than standard disposable gloves, with a wonderful grip and are ideal for heavy duty use such as in garages etc. The Polyco GL201 Finite Orange Grip gloves contain no latex proteins and are suitable for food contact in line with EN1186. Their nitrile forumulation provides fantastic tear and puncture resistance.

It contains no natural rubber proteins, which means no risk of Type I allergies for the wearer. Primary skin irritation studies and Insult Patch tests have also shown no evidence of risk from irritation or allergic contact dermatitis.
With a unique “Thin Nitrile Technology” formulation, this glove offers easy donning and strong grip in wet or dry conditions.
The glove is highly versatile and suitable for many different uses.
